Christmas Card

This is a Christmas card made in a similar fashion as the Kaleidoscope Project. I picked matting for the inside and outside because I felt like the varied colors suited the subjects better than just compromising on one color.
Front Cover
I decided the front cover of the christmas card to have a slay on it because when you think christmas, you think Santa. So, because I felt it would be to repulsive to stencil santa, I stenciled a slay instead. This slay was originally black in white; all color has been colored in with photo pens or scratched in to add texture (the red).
Inside
The inside of the card flips open to show Santa's reindeer, (which was stenciled like the slay) on the top to match the cover, and the a verse from James 1:17. It reads in blue, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change." I think this verse is a good reminder that everything comes from God and that everything you receive during the holidays should be recognized in praise of him. So, while Santa and his gifts may not be real, God and his grift are and we should thank him and praise him during the holidays.
